About Clanvale Farms

We’re working to keep Clanvale Farms thriving — not just for today, but for the generations to come.

Clanvale Farms is a family-run mixed farming operation nestled in Willaura, in the heart of South West Victoria. It’s home to Martin and Ruth Gellert, along with Adam and Anna Gellert, who are raising their kids here and carrying on a legacy that’s been built through generations of hard work and care.

Our main focus is on broad-acre cropping, with each season consisting of a program made up of wheat, barley, canola, oats, beans, and clover. No two years are ever the same, but we love the rhythm of the seasons and the challenge of working with the land.

We also run a mix of livestock - self replacing merino flock and a line of Angus cattle. Between shearing, lambing, calving, and harvest, there’s always plenty to keep us busy, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

At Clanvale Farms, we take pride in what we grow, what we raise, and the values we pass on. By blending modern techniques with tried-and-true farming wisdom, we’re working to keep Clanvale Farms thriving - not just for today, but for the generations to come.

Meet Adam

Adam Gellert returned to the family farm in 2014, working very closely with Martin. As Martin passed on a lifetime of skills and knowledge, Adam has gradually taken on more responsibility. As a fourth-generation farmer, he combines modern agricultural practices with the deep knowledge passed down through his family.

Adam's entry signifies a generational shift, allowing for innovation and adaptability within the farm.

Beyond the paddocks, Adam is a committed community man, volunteering his time with the local CFA.

Meet Martin

Martin Gellert is the father and guiding hand behind Clanvale Farms, whose dedication and vision have shaped the business into what it is today. With decades of experience working the land, Martin has weathered the highs and lows of farming, always leading with resilience, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to family and community. His hard work and quiet determination have laid the foundation for the next generation to continue the Clanvale legacy.

Martin and Ruth, who have been instrumental in shaping the farm for years, are now entrusting the reins to Adam, ensuring long-term sustainability. Through ongoing discussions with their advisors, they've implemented a succession plan that instils confidence in their decisions, with a focus on sustaining profitability.
